Cricket is back!
Well done to students and coach Mr Byrne who have competed very impressively in this season’s Schools Cricket Junior League. Our first team outing saw Piper’s Hill College take on St Columba’s College Dublin. The team performed very well on the day. In a second outing the team competed against Belvedere College where a notable performance was delivered by Sean Connolly team captain when taking three wickets and hitting two sixes on his way to scoring forty four runs. Our third game was against Sandford Park College and again a strong performance was delivered with Sean Connolly scoring thirty runs. Our final game against Templeogue College produced a win. Eddy Tampu gave a brilliant performance taking two wickets, team member Fraser O Byrne hit two sixes and seven fours on his way to a very fine forty five to win the game for Piper’s Hill College in the nineteenth over. Coach Mr Byrne and the entire squad are very happy with the team’s progression and performances to date and are already looking forward to competing in the Senior League next season.
