U 16 Boys Basketball secure their place in Basket Ball finals

Well done to Piper’s Hill College U 16  Boys Basketball team who secured a well deserved win against Carrick-on-Shannon Community School in the National Basket Ball Arena in Tallaght. The team were competing for the first time in the Category B All Irelands Schools Semi Finals. The team secured a comfortable position by the end of the first quarter of the game and continued to show their excellence throughout. Jack Maguire played exceptionally well despite being put under a lot of pressure from the opposing defenders. Players, Ben Kelly, Alex Durero, Cian O Connor, Jack Hogan and Daniel Kane produced a fantastic team effort. Although Carrick-on-Shannon Community College responded valiantly Pipers Hill were determined and came away with a comfortable 12 point lead. The scoreboard read 80 – 68 at close of game, to the delight of Piper’s Hill College. The team will face Colaiste Pobail Setanta in the finals. We wish the team the very best in their upcoming encounter.
