Congratulations to our athletes who did very well at the South Leinster Track and Field competition recently in Waterford Institute of Technology. Piper’s Hill College athletic club recorded the following successes. A first place and a gold medal in the 100 metres Minor Sprint was achieved by Jason Udeagha. First place and a gold medal was achieved by Aaron Casey in the 1200 metres under 16 Walk. Third place and a bronze medal was achieved by Wilson Bashorun in the 100 metre Sprint Final. Third place and a bronze medal was achieved in the Junior 100 metre Sprint by Tia Ramsden. Oana Anastase did well qualifying in second place in her heat but narrowly missing out on a medal in the 100 metre Minor Final. Overall the students did extremely well with three athletes Jason Udeagha, Wilson Bashorun and Aaron Casey all qualifying to represent their school in the Leinster Finals on May 11. Well done to all students and their coach Ms Ryan for their tremendous efforts.
